VACATION TIME! July 1st-7th, 2018.

NEXT WEEK I WILL BE KAYAKING ON THE 7-LAKE

ESSEX CHAIN LAKES IN THE OLD FORGE AREA OF THE NY ADIRONDACK STATE PARK.

LAST WEEKEND I did a Boondock Experiment up in North Conway NH. Boondocking is when you are living out of your truck. Most boondockers have a camper top (my Chevy Avalanche doesn't work with a camper top), but the experiment was a success. Among the "experimenting" was of course cooking off the tailgate and getting a warm shower. I did this with a $5 "Solar Shower bag" from Walmart; it heated the water up beautifully. And then I purchased an electric shower! Battery --->

operated, works for 51 minutes! Recharges on cigarette lighter USB port! It worked great!

Sorry, no selfies were made on this last weekend, but I can tell you that the 7 mile kayaking trimmed my waistline and I expect that NEXT WEEKS' week-long adventure will REALLY whittle me down!

I am here in Salem until Sat a.m. (June 30th), and will return-probably very tanned and svelt- On Monday July 8th at 8 a.m.

OH, I received an award from the Methuen Festival of Trees on June 18th, 2018.

A "Special Friend of the Festival Award" for 22 years of organizing the Festivals Annual Scavenger Hunt. I have the award at the office. It is pretty cool!
